What is CANTO's eMarketplace?
The CANTO eMarketplace is a cloud-baed eProcurement platform designed to improve the speed and efficiency of procurement processes for telecommunications operators and ICT providers across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. The eMarket platform streamlines the procurement process whether for small or large projects and allows firms to automate some of the manual tasks associated with procurement. the platform also provides reports and analytics to aid in decision-making and performance tracking. Features such as Sourcing Management, Reverse and Forward Auctions and Vendor Performance Management are available to subscribers.
Who developed the CANTO eMarketplace?
The Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT), through the Emerging Services and Innovation Division, developed the CANTO eMarketplace, in partnership with the premier trade association for the telecommunications and ICT industry in the Western Hemisphere, CANTO.
Why was the CANTO eMarketplace developed?
The CANTO eMarketplace was developed to aid in the Digital Transformation of CANTO’s members procurement and sourcing activities while enhancing the ease of doing business for its members, affiliates, and Vendors.
Why should I use the CANTO eMarketplace?
The CANTO eMarketplace brings the buyers and sellers of goods and services together via an online sourcing marketplace.
As a Vendor, upon creation of an account, you will be able to view and apply to all tenders and request for quotations issued by subscribers to the eMarketplace.
As a corporate subscriber, you will be able to post tendering and sourcing activities via your own customized portal, all of which will be posted to the CANTO Marketplace for maximum solicitation of responses.

As a Vendor (a provider of goods and services) is there a cost to register on the portal?
Currently, there is no cost to register on the portal as a Vendor. However, there may be a cost to purchase a tender package.
Will I receive confirmation of a successful payment transaction?
Yes. Once a payment has been made, the payee will receive a text message and email notification.

What guarantee is given in terms of confidentiality and integrity of Vendor and Procurement data?
The confidentiality and integrity of data stored on the application is upheld to the highest standard via the implementation of best-in-class data protection and storage measures. The application’s encryption protocols, and security architecture ensures the following: -
Logical segregation of infrastructure of each e-Tender web application – Each subscribing entity to the CANTO Marketplace will have its own separate environment (i.e., Web servers, Database Servers and Backend Storage) to eliminate the possibility or perception of information being 'contaminated' or mixed, either accidentally or intentionally, with another third parties’ information.
Encryption, Audit and Access Controls - All confidential data uploaded to the CANTO eMarketplace by Vendors are automatically encrypted and are only available for viewing, upon successful event (RFx) close, by Administrators of the third-party production environment, via two, system generated, 32-bit encryption keys issued to the intended openers.
Access to all data is governed by prevailing and pre-established access controls and is not accessible to any entity outside of the third-party environment. As such, this robust security design and architecture, does not allow any individual or entity outside of the third-party environment has access to view such data before event (RFx) close and all data uploaded, remain the property of the third-party where the solution is deployed.
Backup and Recovery - There is rigorous backup system implemented to back up system configuration and data to facilitate easy system and/or data recovery in the event of disaster or any unforeseen event.
Notwithstanding the above, the application undergoes continuous Vulnerability Assessment Penetration Testing (VAPT) by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and CANTO will be provided the ‘Right to Audit’ as part of the engagement.
